Really stunning-it’s so lovely just sitting back and looking at them -we are still so in awe of this place. we hiked it just this August-were lucky enough to get a walk in permit.
Wave 2 looks incredible-unfortunately it was too much for me, and in the heat-that we will have to do another time-hopefully.
Would love to be there for sunset but would be terrified of hiking back to the car in the dusk light.
My folks hiked both yesterday so I am eagerly awaiting their photos-very different light from ours.

Isn’t August the wettest month? How often did it got flooded when you where there?

August — I honestly don’t know. I think summer is a wet time in that part of the USA, but the latest I have been there is May. It was hot then, but not unbearable, and when I was there in mid-May it was totally dry.
