{"id":363,"date":"2007-08-04T00:00:01","date_gmt":"2007-08-04T08:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oceanlight.com\/portfolio\/lazy-bear\/"},"modified":"2007-08-04T00:00:01","modified_gmt":"2007-08-04T08:00:01","slug":"lazy-bear","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oceanlight.com\/log\/lazy-bear.html","title":{"rendered":"Lazy Bear"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On my recent trip to photograph <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceanlight.com\/coastal_brown_bear_photo.html\">coastal brown bears<\/a> (<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceanlight.com\/lightbox.php?sp=Ursus_arctos\">Ursus arctos<\/a><\/em>) in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oceanlight.com\/lightbox.php?city=lake_clark_national_park&#038;state=alaska&#038;country=usa\">Lake Clark National Park<\/a>, I experienced nearly perfect weather for a full week, with just one day of light drizzle and only a few overcast days.  About half the time we had full sun, with hardly a cloud in the sky, and warm.  Great for us, but it can be tiring for the bears to hang in the sun with their thick fur coats.
