Clepsydra Geyser is located in the Fountain Paint Pot area of the Lower Geyser Basin. Since 1959, when an earthquake altered the subterranean topology of the Fountain Group, Clepsydra Geyser has been in nearly constant eruption, ceasing only when Fountain Geyser erupts. (Prior to 1959 Clepsydra would erupt every three minutes.)
